The North Carolina Peace Corps Association (NCPCA) is now accepting applications for the North Carolina Peace Prize! This award, established in 1998, honors community-based, nonprofit groups that promote the values of the Peace Corps. Organizations that demonstrate the values of public awareness, education, cross-cultural understanding, and community service are encouraged to apply.
The prize consists of a $2,000 check, a hand-thrown vase from Raleigh Potter, and recognition at a ceremony in the early spring that is open to the community.
Applications are limited to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations with annual operating expenses of $1,000,000 or less whose mission and activities focus on benefitting North Carolina. This includes past Peace Prize winners, although priority is given to organizations that have not won previously.
Interested parties must submit the Peace Prize Application by January 14, 2025. A Google login is required to the complete application. If you have any trouble accessing the form or are unable to complete with a Google login, please contact [email protected]. NCPCA will select a winner by the end of January.
